How To Get The Most Out of Your Detox

A healthy diet is very important when it comes to detoxification. It is not just about avoiding bad foods. It is just as important to eat good foods. Healthy foods supply your body with the vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants it needs to equip your body to perform its many body functions. Consuming them as either a whole food, smoothies, or freshly squeezed juice is best.

Eating Tips

• Focus on eating as many fresh fruits and vegetables as possible.

• Cruciferous vegetables are best.

• Choose organic as much as possible.

• When choosing which fruits and vegetables to eat, try to eat a rainbow of colors.

• Fresh juice or smoothies are encouraged.

• Drink at least 8 glasses of water each day.

• Only eat when hungry.

• Limit your meat intake.

• Avoid junk food and sugary beverages.

• Avoid dried, fried, or canned fruits & vegetables.

• Avoid read meat and pork.

• Avoid alcohol.

Most Common Detox Symptoms

A healing crisis, also known as the Herxheimer Reaction is an increase in discomfort during the body’s process of detoxification. It typically occurs when internal toxins are being released faster than the body can eliminate them. In general, the more dietary, medical and/or environmental toxins that you have accumulated over time, the more severe the effects of the detoxification during the cleanse. Each person is unique and responds to a detox program differently. Some reactions occur immediately, some within several days. In general, most people feel flu-like symptoms. The ill-effects usually pass within 1-3 days, but can last longer.

Frequently Asked Questions

• Several bowel movements each day.
• Bowel movements are easier.
• Skin rashes stop itching and dry up.
• Food cravings diminish.
• Detox symptoms (you may or may not experience these)
• Increased energy levels (no mid-day fatigue)

Is there any reason why I should not do the cleanse?

If you suffer from liver disease, are pregnant, or planning to be pregnant, nursing, have kidney issues, or gallstones, then avoid this cleanse. Even if you do not have these conditions, the safest and best practice would be to check with your doctor before beginning any cleanse. Especially if you are elderly.

How often should I complete the Liver Tune Up Detox?

You should complete the Liver Tune Up Detox up to times a year. I personally complete the detox program during each season of the year. This helps me to be proactive and prevent small issues from becoming big issues.
